Surgery Open Hours

Monday to Friday:   08.00 to 12.30,  13.30 to 17.45

The surgery is closed between 12.30 and 13.30 every day.

Saturdays: From 1st October 2004 the Practice (like virtually every practice in Lothian) will no longer be open on Saturday mornings. This is because from that date the out of hours care of patients is taken over by NHS 24 . Their number is 08454 24 24 24

All consultations in the mornings or afternoons are by appointment.

We used to operate an"open surgery" each morning from 08.30 to 09.30, but that has now stopped. Please refer to the link above regarding this.

Appointments

Appointments may be made by telephoning the surgery on 664 3050. Routine appointments can be made well in advance but the majority of our appointments are now made that day. If you need an appointment that day we advise you to call at 8am. If you cannot keep your appointment please try to inform us as soon as possible so it may be offered again.

Urgent Appointments

We try to deal with most urgent issues within the morning open surgery. If an issue arises after the open surgery has finishedwhich you feel needs to be dealt with that day please telephone the surgery. The receptionist will take your details and a brief note of the problem. The duty doctor will then call you back to discuss the matter when he / she is free to do so.
